In our fast-paced, deadline demanding society, it seems next to impossible to detach from a constant state of busyness. We are bogged down by an oversaturated state of to dos, and the need to orchestrate a jam-packed schedule. And when we get quiet, turn inward, and ask ourselves what we really crave? It’s not more. It’s less outward stimulation. The soft, intuitive voice inside is longing for a reprieve. Time set aside to tend to yourself is not frivolous. It is a means for survival. Luna Vida designed a line of botanicals for just that. We see you. We know how hard you work, how challenging career, parenting and partnership can be. Like you, we have seen the ways identity and self-care can be shelved, delayed or sacrificed at the cost of tending to others. But we want you to remember that you are worth your time too.
Try a salt soak in the tub or a sensual lathering
Self-care rituals are the ways in which we turn our focus onto ourselves in order to connect. Seemingly minimal acts of attention help us replenish our energy stores and allow time for introspection, when we move our awareness from the periphery to the centre. Often, what emerges from involution is a sense of grounding and greater stores of clarity. This vantage point of responsiveness allows us to navigate the demands of life with greater proficiency.
The more you allow yourself to be guided by your instincts, the more your self-care practices will instill trust in your intuition. This is one way to reclaim your power of authenticity and a sense of agency.
We challenge you to spend some time one-on-one nurturing yourself this week. Try a salt soak in the tub or a sensual lathering with our massage oil. Observe the subtle dissolving of tension in your body, emotions, and breath as your awareness remains in the present. Any effort put towards tending to your own needs honours the intimate relationship you have with your body and your spirit.
Trust us, there is enough time.
“If you believe that you are a child of the universe, or a product of Love, and/or a global citizen then you are honour bound to love yourself. Self-care is a divine responsibility.”
